So make the Diablo 2 folder that you copy and paste your unmodded Diablo 2, and the original folder will become the modded Diablo 2.
MAPHACK FOR DIABLO 2 1.14B INSTALL
If you install PlugY into the folder that you copy and paste, you will run into errors. They way PlugY works, PlugY has to be installed to the Diablo 2 path that was most recently listed in the installer. If you already have Diablo 2 1.14d installed, you can simply copy and paste the Diablo 2 folder and rename it to something that indicates it is your Diablo 2 for.

As such, you should have a separate installation for PlugY if you also want to play on.
MAPHACK FOR DIABLO 2 1.14B MODS
Mods will still work, including -direct -text. Text files in patch_d2.mpq are removed, revert to an older version if you want to modify the game and grab the text files. You can copy/paste the newer game key into the 1.14a DIablo 2 installer and it works fine. It is the longer game key you have for Diablo 2 in your account. The game key you need is not the ones on the D2 and LoD CD cases. You need to download the installer and install it digitally.
MAPHACK FOR DIABLO 2 1.14B UPDATE
Blizzard finally decided to update the game for OS X proper so it can be played naively in OS X now.Īlso note that you can not install the game from disc to OS X. The old versions of Diablo 2 stopped working till now because Blizzard stopped supporting Rosetta in 10.7. The previous OS X installer was just installing the game under Rosetta (visualized classic MacOS). OS X and not Mac, as both the new and old patches of Diablo 2 worked on Macintosh hardware. In OS X the save folder is in the same directory that you chose to install Diablo 2 in.
MAPHACK FOR DIABLO 2 1.14B FOR MAC
I do not know what the directory is for Mac users, (or if that has changed), if anyone knows, please let me know! You will have to move your save folder back to your game directory if you update to 1.14a and want to downgrade back and keep your save files.

The new patch relocates the save folder under users\your username\saved games\diablo II.However, they still remove the resources needed to be able to install it in the first place. To further note, glidewrapper had work mostly fine on previous versions, despite what they said. (Thanks to xardeks for this fix)Įdit: This is STILL removed in 1.14b! Still applies. This works on a 1.14a install from blizzard's website, and others. Run d2vidtext and select to the video setting of your choice. To be able to fix this issue, download this zip, and extract it to your Diablo II folder. The new patch runs a script that removes D2vidtest from your directory.Even if Median XL works with this new version, you cannot play on TSW unless otherwise changed. You can avoid having your game update entirely as long as you don't launch cLoD and click on.If you had downloaded 1.14a fresh from Blizzards website, consider using a tormented Diablo II until a solution is found. If at any point you need to downgrade your version of diablo back to 1.13 or lower after downloading 1.14a, if you previously had 1.13c or lower installed, follow this guide.

Again if you had not initially downloaded 1.14a as your base, you have nothing to worry about. D2SE will not work if you did a fresh 1.14a install.1.14a will now be the default digital download for Diablo II. If you had 1.13c or lower installed initially, you won't come across this issue.
